Goal Settings
Goal setting is one of the most important habits for success in network marketing. It provides you with direction, motivation, and a clear plan of action. Let’s understand this through an example.
Let’s explain step-by-step: How to Set Goals in Network Marketing –
Define a Clear Vision (Your “Why”): Before setting numbers or deadlines, understand why you’re in this business.
Your “why” gives you the emotional strength to persevere. Example: “I want to earn ₹100,000 per month through network marketing so that I can provide all the happiness and well-being to my family, provide higher education to my children, buy a nice house and a car, and quit my job to spend more time with my family.”
Set SMART goals: Use the SMART formula – Specific Measurable Achievable Relevant and Time-bound. Example goal: I will add 10 new active team members in the next 60 days. I will achieve Topaz level for my company by the end of this quarter.
Break big goals into smaller tasks
– Don’t just focus on the big number. Break it down into daily or weekly tasks.
Examples:
*Talk to 5 new potential customers every day.
*Follow up with 3 people every day.
*Give a presentation every other day. This makes big goals seem achievable.
Track your progress: Review your results weekly. Write down what’s working and what’s not.
Use a notebook or digital tracker to stay accountable. Example: If your goal was to recruit 10 people in 60 days and you’ve recruited 4 people in 30 days, you’re on track!
If not, change your approach (more follow-ups, new scripts, etc.).
Praise yourself for your accomplishments:
When you achieve part of your goal, give yourself a reward — a nice meal, outing, or small gift.
